Mary Droppinz is the project of DJ and producer Alyssa Johnson, born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and now based in Los Angeles. Raised on classic rock by her drummer father, she came up through Southern California's underground rave scene with an eclectic sound spanning breaks, electro, house, techno, and bass. Beyond her own releases on labels like Zeds Dead's Altered States, she is a dedicated educator, serving as DJ curriculum director for Femme House and founding Virtual DJ University.
